City of Lawrenceville History

Incorporated on December 15, 1821, exactly three years to the day after the formation of Gwinnett County, Lawrenceville is the county seat and second oldest city in Greater Atlanta. She is named in honor of Captain James Lawrence, the War of 1812 naval commander who gave his crew one of American history’s most memorable fighting orders: “Tell the men to fire faster and not to give up the ship; fight her till she sinks!" Though Commander Lawrence died from battle wounds a few days later, the City of Lawrenceville thrived. From the first hearty stock of settlers who lived off the land, citizens of Lawrenceville have long taken pride in establishing and fashioning a strong, viable community.

Call FloodExpress (770) 415-0003. If there is unwanted water in your home or business; the longer it sits, the more damage it can cause. For instance soggy walls, unwanted water must be taken seriously. It can cause bacteria and viruses, can cause long-term damage to humans especially infants.

Winter is here Georgia and with it come a lot of potential hazards for homeowners and renters alike. Broken pipes, floods and potentially thousands of dollars of water damage. But some companies want to save you that money with a simple gadget: the flood sensor.  Flood sensors come in all varieties, but they pretty much all work using the same mechanism: when water touches two exposed metal probes, the device senses increased conductivity between those probes and sets off an alarm. It's a simple idea that can potentially save you thousands of dollars.      When it comes to leaks in a structure, whether that structure is an office or a home , timeliness is of the utmost importance in minimizing the cost of a leak. Leaks not only add to the cost of a utility bill, the damage caused by water intrusion into the structure can require thousands of dollars of remediation . FloodExpress use advanced water damage inspection and extraction equipment to help them find the moisture and to remove it as quickly as possible.

Sewage is characterized in terms of semisolid liquids discharged due to manmade or natural activities. Waste generated from industrial, hospital, commercial, human or other animal excreta, storm water runoff, etc. are listed as some of the common and concerning components of sewage. Everyone knows that raw sewage is not pleasant. It smells bad, looks disgusting, and is potentially harmful, even deadly. These are all reasons why CleanSafe Services is kept busy responding to urgent calls from clients to carry out emergency cleaning tasks involving sewage spill recovery and clean-ups. But do you know just how potentially deadly sewage – defined as waste water and excrement carried in sewers – can be? We have compiled a list of the main ways sewage can kill you. The hazards fall into four main categories – bacterial infections, viral infections, parasitical infections and accidents.
